PERSONAL TRAINING
Our Personal Trainers

Emma
I am a fifth-year physical therapy major and I have been a trainer for three years. My favorite method to keep my clients motivated is to set goals. I believe the best part about being a personal trainer is helping my clients reach their goals and apply their training progress to sports and hobbies outside the gym. I find it very rewarding to work with my clients and support them as they push themselves in different aspects of fitness! When I’m not training, I enjoy cooking, skating, and exploring Boston.

Alison
Hi, I am a fifth year Physical Therapy major. My hobbies include reading and watching TV, as well as exercising and spending time with friends. I have been personal training for three years. My favorite part of the job is helping clients stay fit and achieve their goals. In order to motivate clients, I use a variety of exercises and circuits to keep them engaged!

Emily
I am a 5th year physical therapy major. I am excited to start training this semester as a new Personal Trainer! I love working to help clients feel more comfortable at the gym and become more excited about exercise!

Annie
Hi, I am a fifth-year physical therapy major. This is my first year training and have been loving it so far! My favorite thing about being a personal trainer is being creative and finding new and fun ways to challenge my clients. I like to motivate clients through fostering meaningful relationships and helping them achieve their specific goals. When I’m not training, you can catch me playing water polo, cooking, or exploring new food places in Boston!

Tiana
I am a fifth-year PT student, and this is my second year training! My favorite thing about personal training is making people happy and helping them feel good about themselves – I like to make sure everyone feels welcome and comfortable at the gym. For me, how I motivate clients depends on the person, but I believe that acknowledging gains as well as areas of improvement are equally as important!

Chrissy
I am a second-year studying health sciences on the pre-PT track! I’ve been training clients for about a year now and I love being able to motivate others to stay active and care for themselves. I love to motivate my clients by tracking their progress so they can see how far they’ve come as it’s not always easy to recognize the small exciting changes on your own. During my free time, I love to lift, walk around Boston, and visit coffee shops.

Josh
Hi, I am a third year student from Westchester, NY. I am majoring in Psychology and am on the pre-physical therapy track. My favorite part about personal training is building strong relationships with clients and getting to watch them work towards and achieve their fitness goals. Outside of training, I love playing and watching sports, especially soccer and basketball.

Nicole
I am a health science major who loves to run, workout, read, crochet, and play with my dogs. I’ve been personal training for one year but have been working out nearly my whole life. I really love encouraging clients in similar positive reinforcement ways that worked for me as I grew up, especially when I had to learn how to workout after ending my soccer career. I especially love making working out a game or anything that gets the client to look forward to it everyday!

Quinn
I am a third-year majoring in Health Science and Business Administration with a minor in Exercise Science, and this is my first year training at Marino! My favorite thing about being a personal trainer is learning from my clients and being able to personalize their programs. Outside of training, I enjoy running, playing basketball, and exploring Boston!

Yannis
I am a fifth-year student majoring in business and psychology. I have been weightlifting/training for two years and enjoy playing recreational sports, including ultimate frisbee, boxing, and badminton. My favorite thing about being a personal trainer is taking part in and witnessing my clients’ positive growth toward their fitness and wellness goals. I believe everyone has potential, and I would love to help my clients set their new personal records!

Ben
I am a third year biology major on a pre-med track. I’m a freshly certified trainer, eager to help anyone improve themselves and achieve greater health. I love being active, especially outdoors, which explains my love for running, hiking, and biking. I’ve been in the gym for 6 years and my favorite workouts incorporate functional body movements into high intensity circuits. As a member of the Men’s Club Ultimate Frisbee team, I stay active and encourage my teammates to engage in strengthening and cardiovascular fitness. I love to motivate others by finding common ground, setting goals, and expanding exercise repertoire through exploration of the endless possibilities of fitness!

Derek
Hi, I’m a third year computer science major! I’m interested in weightlifting, specifically calisthenics. This is my first year training, and I look forward to helping my clients grow! I like to motivate people I train by finding areas of improvement and specifically targeting them and showing them the progress that they made.

Sophia
Hi! I’m a second year physics major and this is going to be my first year getting to actually train. My favorite part of being a personal trainer so far is seeing clients do something they didn’t think they were going to be able to do. Watching them perform a movement correctly for the first time, or lift a weight that was beyond what they thought they’d be capable of is really amazing. I like to motivate clients to get to this point by setting goals, and more importantly talking about why those are their goals. I think if you have a longer term reason you want to be able to do something, you’re more likely to do it.

Xiaoyao
Hi! I am a certified personal trainer pursuing a master’s degree in computer science. I am excited to join the personal trainer team this year. In my free time, I enjoy staying active by working out, playing badminton, going for outdoor walks, and kayaking. As a personal trainer, my favorite part is working with my clients to help them achieve their fitness goals. I believe that collaboration and support are key to success, and I am committed to helping my clients reach their full potential.

Cole
Hi, I am a second-year business major with over 6 years of fitness experience. I specialize in strength and muscle growth but enjoy training individuals across a wide variety of fitness goals. My favorite aspect of being a trainer is helping people build confidence in the gym and reach their fitness potential. Outside of training, my hobbies include trying new restaurants, reading, and wake surfing.

Michael
I am a Second-Year Biology major, and I am Pre-Med. Two of my favorite things about being a personal trainer are helping clients to feel comfortable pushing their limits in the gym and helping clients to reach their goals. When I am not training, I like to cook, play soccer, read, and watch the Celtics and Bruins.

Jennie
Hi! I am a 4th year criminal justice and psychology major, and this will be my first year as a personal trainer! My favorite part about the job is to be able to motivate clients and to grow their confidence in the gym! I like to motivate clients by noting the small improvements. Outside of training, you can catch me dancing, eating a lot of good food, and looking up traveling destinations. I am excited to be your trainer!
