Student Employee of the Month

University Recreation is proud to honor the many contributions and accomplishments of our student employees. Our Recreation Facilities and Programs could not function without a team of over 400 students working in every aspect of the department – building supervisors, facility assistants, fitness consultants, group fitness instructors, personal trainers, intramural staff, marketing staff, instructional staff, and business operations.

THE PROGRAM. The Student Employee of the Month program looks to recognizes those students who go above and beyond the duties of the job. Outstanding students are nominated by their peers and by professional staff members each month. An Employee of the Month (EOTM) is voted upon for three department areas, facilities, fitness, and intramural sports. The EOTM is awarded a signature item, recognized with publicity on TV screens within the Marino Recreation Center and on the University Recreation website.

Employee of the Year

We are excited to announce that our Employee of the Year for the ’23-’24 academic year is Building Supervisor, Donovan Holt! Donovan has been working with University Recreation since October 2019.

Donovan has been a part of the University Recreation staff for 5 years and has excelled in his role. As a Building Supervisor, Donovan has been an outstanding leader for the department. He has taken up many tasks that go beyond his base responsibilities, making him an invaluable asset to the team. Thanks to Donovan’s efforts, the new staff have a positive mentor who supports them regardless of their position. It gives me immense pleasure to announce Donovan as our Student Employee of the Year for 2023-2024!
